CEFAfrica, abbreviation of CLEAN ENERGY FOR AFRICA, is a Limited Liability Company (SARL) established in 2018 and officially registered in August 2019 under the commercial register RB/COT/19B24771. It was founded by five senior technicians specializing in renewable energies and energy systems, all graduates from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Abomey-Calavi. Its head office is located in Abomey-Calavi and it operates throughout the country.
The company's mission is to facilitate access to renewable, clean and sustainable energy in Benin and more widely in Africa. Convinced that energy is essential for development and that it plays a crucial role in stimulating economic activities as well as in social and environmental security, CLEAN ENERGY FOR AFRICA focuses on the promotion of solar photovoltaic systems (solar home kits) , thermal, bioenergy and energy efficiency.
The company mainly targets rural, remote and disadvantaged areas where access to energy remains a major challenge, hindering the economic development and social well-being of populations. In addition to its commercial activities, it carries out research and technological innovation activities, as well as technical support and support initiatives for projects linked to sustainable development and environmental protection.
