Initiatives at the Kpassagambou Farm
Thanks to this fruitful collaboration, several infrastructures have been installed at the Kpassagambou farm, contributing to its autonomy and the promotion of ecological agricultural practices:
- 6m3 biodigester: A biodigester has been installed for the production of biogas and organic fertilizer. This innovative technology makes it possible to recycle organic waste while generating a clean source of energy for the farm.
- Ecological Toilets: Two ecological toilets were connected to the biodigester, allowing efficient management of organic waste while contributing to the production of biogas and fertilizers.
- Kitchen Infrastructure: A modern kitchen has been set up to facilitate meal preparation and promote the use of clean energy for cooking
- Compost Toilet: A compost toilet was installed for the ecological management of human waste, thereby contributing to the production of organic fertilizer for crops.
Benefits for Ecological Agriculture
These initiatives aim to promote ecological and sustainable agriculture at the Kpassagambou farm. By using environmentally friendly agricultural practices and integrating innovative technologies such as biodigester and ecological toilets, we aim to improve agricultural productivity while preserving natural resources and reducing the environmental footprint.
Social and Environmental Impact
This collaboration with GREENING AFRICA TOGETHER (GATO) and the initiatives undertaken at the Kpassagambou farm will have a significant impact on the local community. By providing a clean source of energy for lighting and cooking, improving sanitary conditions through eco-friendly toilets, and promoting eco-friendly agriculture, we help improve the social and environmental well-being of people in the region.
